Salary: £40 – 45k (£70-80k OTE)
Your New Company:
After year-on-year revenue growth of 100%, and being recognised as one of the market leaders in sales conversation intelligence, our client is at a hugely exciting phase of expansion.
Headquartered in the centre of Newcastle (but embracing remote), they have built a relatively small but World Class SaaS business over the past five years. They sell to sales leaders in top class companies, helping them solve their biggest headaches connected with closing more deals, turning more of their team into top performers, and understanding what’s leading to success in their sales conversations. They had a big market to sell to, but due to the impact of a global pandemic which meant the entire world was selling remotely overnight – their market became so much bigger.
They have built an incredible, highly disruptive product, which is helping Sales teams in companies like VMWare, Zoopla, and Arco, gain revenue-defining insights into the conversations happening across their teams, figure out what’s leading to won/lost deals, and enable them to level-jump their sales people. Recently, one of our client’s customers told them simply, that they have helped them “change their sales culture”.
After recently being acquired by a US-based technology company – a market leader in Sales Enablement technology, they are at a hugely exciting phase of imminent growth and expansion. Despite being recently acquired, this is just the beginning for our client. They are looking to build the EMEA team as part of the wider group’s ambitious expansion plans, and this is a chance to join this team at an early exciting stage. They have an incredible tailwind behind them, and with increased investment – this is an incredible opportunity for their team and customers.
Your New Role:
Our client’s platform is all about sales coaching, and obviously they drink their own champagne, using the platform to help onboard, coach and develop their skills and success. Not only will you be involved in weekly 1-2-1 and team call breakdown/coaching sessions, you will work with a sales leadership team who not only frequently get invited to speak on the world’s most followed sales podcasts, webinars, and events, but last year authored and released a best-selling book. They can guarantee anybody joining them will become a better salesperson.
Our client’s Account Executives are pivotal to the company’s success. You will be a key member of their fast-growing and high-performing sales team and ultimately responsible for acquiring new customers. You’ll be provided with qualified opportunities from their SDR (lead gen) team, and inbound demo requests (which are increasing all the time!), but will be equally comfortable making things happen from your own calls, emails, and social prospecting.
They want to fill your calendar, but they don’t believe you should ever forget the value of hunting for your own food! You’ll be conducting discovery calls to understand business needs and fit and delivering personalised demos to sales leaders. As well as this, you will be working closely with your manager and SDR team, to strategize on deals, key markets to go after, and best practices of optimising how they work as a team. EVERYBODY has a big voice in how they grow.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Our client is as interested in your skills, attributes and drive, as your experience. That being said, they are ideally looking for someone who has at least twelve months of experience working in an Account Executive (or similar role) in a SaaS/Tech business. Whilst our client knows that great people are seriously hard to find, if they choose you it’s because they believe in your ability to play a great role in their future – not just ‘do a decent job’. Hopefully you feel you have the ingredients and drive to be hugely successful, your goals are probably bigger than your peers, and with the right coaching, support and development can achieve whatever you set your mind to. Whilst they appreciate no one is great at everything; commitment, resilience, curiosity and coachability are all likely strengths of yours. You also have your reasons for wanting a career in sales – they don’t care why so much, but you’ll be passionate about sales as a career of choice for you.
Why Work With This Company?
● You will become part of an amazing culture with a Leadership team who have successfully grown and exited SaaS companies from ground zero.
● You will work with amazing colleagues who truly care about each other, whom you can learn from and teach.
● You will experience joining a high-growth/high-traction organisation. They are looking to build a big business here in EMEA, and so the growth/development opportunities are huge.
● Not only will you receive top class coaching to help you achieve your goals, they will also invest time and money into helping you develop your social brand, network and reputation.
● You WILL have a voice, and any suggestions you feel which can make improvements will be heard, and most likely get a response which sounds like “Sounds great, give it a try and see what happens!”
● They invest in the very best sales tech stack to set you up for success.
● Being part of a larger group, means post-pandemic(!) there will be opportunities to travel and work in the USA.
What You’ll Get:
They provide a generous package inclusive of base, commission/bonus (and pension), and crucially – share options. Every employee is granted share options as they want to ensure the people who join them are bought into forging a brilliant career with them and sharing in the company’s long-term success.
