Business Development Manager, Remote

Salary: £25k plus uncapped commission

Your New Company

Your new company delivers expertise in financial professional services to help SMEs find business finance. Their service scans all possible finance options for businesses at no cost for the business. They leverage their database to search the entire business funding market, and then use their expertise to find a business finance solution that is bespoke and the most appropriate to their customers. Established in 2014, your new company is looking to expand their team of 30 to help deliver value (and finance) to their ever-growing market of business finance.

Your role will involve:

  • Keeping in contact with financial advisors throughout the businesses network
  • Building referral zones where dentists, pharmacies, GPs, lawyers, architects and accountants can network and find business finances solutions
  • Speak with professionals in numerous industries to credentialise the service you are offering
  • Devise creative and personalised approaches to engaging with your network of professionals
  • Engaging with and expanding your network of financial advisors is the way to more business finance opportunities and therefore success in your role.
  • Performing engaging outreach to advisors via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Completing all of the above in order to meet KPIs and revenue targets

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Be hungry, humble and people smart.
  • Be methodical in your processes.
  • Be driven in your desire to hit your KPIs and targets.
  • Be coachable, having a willingness and ability to listen. 
  • Be able to show empathy and understand the minds of the business professionals with which you will speak daily.
  • Be creative and personalised in your outreach.
  • Have attention to detail.
  • It is preferable for you to have experience cross selling, upselling, reviving lost accounts.
  • It is preferable for you to already have a network of financial advisors or a network to tap into to be successful in your role.

  • Exposure to expert accountants, lawyers, architects, pharmacists where you can expand your network.
  • Negotiable basic salary of around £25k
  • Opportunity to progress
